How long can you make a bottle of perfume/cologne last?

Whatever a regular-sized bottle is, not the samples .Thanks! How long can you make a bottle of perfume/cologne last?
Perfume/cologne can last about a year or two. Since perfume/cologne is alcohol based, after a year or so it tends to turn into only alcohol and not have any scent. (I'm very stingy, so this has happened to me several times.) To make your perfume/cologne last longer, keep it out of warm, sunny places.

As a side note, to use up all your perfume/cologne, you should use it. However, what generally happens (like to my flatmate) is that the wearer gets used to the smell of the perfume/cologne and then puts more on until they can smell it again. It's kinda like crack in that way, you need a bigger hit to feel it. However, this makes you stink like the perfume department of a shopping center. So, use a measured amount every time and try not to increase it.

Also, perfume/cologne releases its smell when it evaporates, to put it on places on your body that are more likely to heat up, like the crook of your arm, the small of your neck, etc.How long can you make a bottle of perfume/cologne last?
Well, to give you an idea...LOL, my grandmother holds onto perfumes, that she refuses to use because they are expensive. She obviously bought them forty years ago. If you open the bottles, they smell horrible and they are brown. My Mother, also keeps older expensive perfumes, bought in the eighties, and they have yet to expire. I also own perfumes from my childhood and they are fine. If your talking about regular usage, a bottle spritzed daily should last about six to nine months depending on the strength. I use Burburry and Armani Mania, and they have lasted over 2 years with twice a week usage of each. they are also very strong, and don't need re-application Hope this helps.
depends. how many times you put it on during the day??

Me twice a day about 2 months
You should chuck it out after a year or so because it can deteriorate and sometimes go bad. My mum still has CH5 from when I was a kid, sometimes she wears it... no no no.

PS I am 30yrs old
6 months if i use it regularly otherwise one year =)
Usually a year until it starts smelling a little funky, ask the retialer when you purchase it, they should know. It may depend on the type it is and what is in it.
Perfumes and Colognes are made with alcohol, but you shouldn't have issues with the scent fading. If the scent fades, or it turns bad then the item was not made properly. Most of them are made with a manufacturers expectancy that you will buy one about twice a year. So I would figure if you put it on every morning, then about 8 months. Just keep it light instead of strong or you'll just knock people out with the smell.
you can google the brand or cologne you are looking for.

Google.com (type in question) and jeeves. They can answer your question for you.
depends on how much you use it
It really depends on how much you use daily. I have some perfume bottles I only use once in awhile and they'll last a year or so. But I have some other perfume that I wear just about everyday and that will last me a couple months if that.
It depends on how often you use it.
i say at least 4 months unless you drown yourself in it, but just a few spays here and there would last anywhere from 4 to 6 months
maybe a year, but that depends on how much you use......
forever if you never use it and always keep it closed
i haven't need a new parfume since the last 2 years. i wear it everyday and i still have like 1/2 bottle (100ml) of it.
About a year. If you dont use it for a good while like a couple of years or something like that it will lose its good scent and it wont smell good anymore. it will smell like pure rubbing alcohol and its nasty so make sure you use it often and dont just let it sit there because that stuff is expensive and just to let it sit there and go bad is really a waste of money so use it well and dont let it go bad.
Indefinitely in a tight bottle, however, the longer perfume is around after it has been opened, the stronger it gets. It seems to keep maturing over time.
it depends on the size, but i can usually make mine last about 9-10 months. i put it on right when i get outta the shower, that way it absorbs into my skin while its drying. that's one way to make your scent last without having to reapply it during the day.
Guys typically wear too much, but if you use it properly then it should last maybe a year (depending on the size of the bottle)
it depends on how often we use. For me its about 6 months.
it depends how often you use it, and how much you use, and the type of cologne and how strong it is. A 4oz bottle of cologne can last a half a year or more.
5435436546546546545647358475347534 years but only if you stick it up your a$$ for a few days. it adds it some PAZAZ!
